Life lately

We sure do appreciate all of you that follow this blog. I am so sorry for the delay in posting. Bow’s last treatment was on August 24. He has a reaction to the Opdivo so they give him a pretty big dose of Benadryl before and it knocks him out. He now sleeps through the whole treatment but that is so much better than the back pain that it causes. His body is still reacting very well to his treatments and he beginning to start doing more activities. He still tires really easy so he has to take things really slow. So things he use to do now takes him so much longer to finish. Still better than not being able to do anything. While this journey continues, I just can’t believe how much better he is doing. He sure gave us all a BIG scare there for awhile. He will continue with his treatments on a monthly basis as well as blood work and PET Scan every other month so they keep a good eye on what’s going on. So grateful for the medications that they have now that were not even available 3 years ago. Thanks to these medications and his doctors he is looking forward to doing one of the things he loves so much, Santa! We truly are so grateful for all the thoughts, notes, text messages, phone calls and mostly the prayers. We believe so much in the power of prayer and know that our Heavenly Father is watching over Bow and performing miracles.

His PET Scan is scheduled for 9/18 and he will then see his doctor and have his monthly treatment on 9/21. I will do better at updating this blog to keep you in the loop. Thank you for following our journey. We love you all! ❤️
