Saw the doctor and he told us that looking at his lab work his LDL Cancer Markers are coming down. That was such great news to hear. The mass in his shoulder does seem to be going down some. Since the procedure to remove the fluid from around his lung and the fluid that they extracted from the mass in his abdomen he is starting to not feel so BLAH and feeling better. Fatigue is still a big part though. Especially after treatments. He has weened off of the Oxycodone and will try to slowly ween off or at least down on the Morphine. He did try to get off the muscle relaxer but that did not work out so well so he is back on the Methocarbamol. He will also slowly work on how often he needs the oxygen. It would be nice that at least while he is home and not doing much that he can go without it. He will have his 4th treatment on July 6 and then they will do a PET scan and Brain MRI to compare and see how much the treatment is working. For now, we take whatever good news we can and continue this fight.
We were lucky enough to have all 4 of Bow’s kids, their spouses and grandkids here this last weekend. We enjoyed a great time together and also were able to have family pictures with all our kids and their families. We will share those when we get them. It was an awesome early Fathers Day for him.
As we came home today we were greeted by the best front door ever! We have the best friends! We love all those that read this and that are there for us during this difficult trial. But with each of you that keep us strong and all the prayers we will continue to fight this battle.
During all this down time that he has I was able to “play” with some of his tools and redo our hall bath. He NEVER lets me do this. It was fun and very satisfying to me to learn new things.
